More Symptoms of Fibromyalgia
Posted by admin under Fibromyalgia Symptoms
There are a variety of symptoms of fibromyalgia, of which people should be aware. The general symptoms include such things as aches and pains, tenderness to the touch, and fatigue, sore muscles, and blurred vision. Many patients also experience problems with their memory and concentration.
The pain may be chronic and widespread but can also be localized in areas like the neck, lower back, hips, or shoulders. The facial pain is often involved and fibromyalgia patients have high rates of temporomandibular joint disorder.
What condition the fibromyalgia is not responsible for is inflammation of the joints, such as is common with rheumatoid arthritis. Anti-inflammatory drugs will not usually work for fibromyalgia because of this, although they may temporarily reduce pain.
There have been some factors which have been identified as increasing symptoms of fibromyalgia. Those include high levels of stress, excessive physical exertion, lack of proper sleep, or atmospheric changes such as changes in humidity or barometric pressure. These lead to a lack of energy which may be indicative of fibromyalgia.
